Legend says silk began by accident: a cocoon, a cup of tea, a princess sitting beneath a mulberry tree who couldn't resist unwinding the thread. What started in a garden became an entire art of sericulture, then weaving, then, thousands of years later, this: the Bantam Boxer. 

These Grade 5A, 19 Momme, long-strand mulberry silk shorts are truly a piece to savour. Created with OEKO-TEX® certified silk and finished with flat-felled seams, close topstitching, featuring an easy elastic waist, side vents for garden wandering and fairy seeking, and a back pocket, just big enough for small treasures. 

These shorts are a single-run colourway. Once they're gone, they stays gone.

A gentle allowance for the very young: sizes 0 and 1–2 are cut roomier through the seat, made with a nappy in mind.
